Medical expertise unit // The Luxembourg Government

Responsibilities

The medical expertise unit was created by the law of December 17, 2010 reforming the health care system.

Its missions are specified in article 65bis (1) of the Social Security Code and cover three main themes:

Technical and scientific support for the development of nomenclatures of acts and services of health care providers;
Scientific assessment of health technologies, including medical devices and health interventions;
Collaboration in the development and establishment of evidence based guidelines.
